Hello everyone. My name is Marc Correia. I am a police officer in the city of Fall River Massachusetts, where I am a handler for a dual purpose K9 and a member of the swat team. It’s a small city of approximately 100k residents located about an hour south of Boston and 20 minutes east of Providence.
I’ve grown up around working dogs and was introduced to this concept of laser directions at a young age, as my father was also a K9 handler, though at that time, the reliability was just not there. Some dogs took to it, and most did not
. I’ve always been intrigued by this skill set, however; this is the first time I will be attempting the training with my partner (3yo Male German Shepherd)
