Smart idea to change the direction of field entry for the unprimed sends to make the dogs orientation more about handler direction and some field familiarity.
Question for you about your choice of bowl location. I see that nice pine tree standing tall right along that field edge. It stands out to me immediately as a landmark. I always try to put the bowls (even when visible) in front of a natural landmark the dog can connect with the bowl location. It looks like there might be a smaller bush behind your bowl, so maybe that is what you chose as your landmark (which is totally fine).
I have found over the years that when I see the "landmarking" in the dog rather than a pure dependency to se the bowl, the progression to alternative location marking things is easier. And in this program of course, the laser is such an alternative location marking thing.
There is a small bush behind the bowl with a trail to the immediate right. This gives a fairly good landmark in person. The tree you’re referring to has several branches sticking through or hanging down. Those aren’t visible from the video. I was going to use that as the marker but felt it was too unsafe once I got closer. Great minds! Lol

Good work.
