Sorry for the late response. Nice job on the light prime/dark send laser introduction. He seems to be taking to it well.
Is the room completely dark and you have a camera that works that well in darkness? Or is there some light available in that room? If there is do make sure the dog can't see the location of the bowl (not just not the bowl, but not that roll up door behind the bowl), jut to ensure he really uses the laser as the location indicator and not other forms of orientation.
